2019 Domaine De Montbourgeau L’Etoile ‘Savagnin’ , Jura, France

Deep amber-gold. Complex oxidative nose of roasted hazelnuts, walnut, dried apricot, curry spice, beeswax and a savoury, almost sherry-like depth. This is 'ouillé' Savagnin — aged with some oxidative exposure toward the Vin Jaune style. The palate is rich and powerful with remarkable length. A deeply characterful Jura white from L'Étoile's unique fossil-rich soils.
